SNOWMAGGEDON REVISITED

The Lower Mills Fine Art Gallery is proud to announce its juried exhibit: Snowmaggedon Revisited.

Only in mid-summer could Bostonians bear to look back at the winter of 2015. Looking back brings memories of tragedy, confinement and more than our portion of gallows humor—-shared during endless hours on a highway where no one needs parking. 

Unlike many other crisis the storms affected everyone personally. And so the Lower Mills Fine Art Gallery aims to accept as many photographs as possible from as many people as possible.  We will also be displaying some of the images that brought us together via the Internet. Please submit your photographs! The closing reception will be held on Sept. 27th, from 1:00-6:00 pm at 1197 Adams St., Dorchester MA 02124. Viewings by appointment or chance starting August 28th.  Parking the rear.

Submission Guidelines:

• Taken in Boston, preferably in the Lower Mills area of Dorchester, Milton, Mattapan.
• And/or were widely circulated via social or traditional media. 
• Unattributed “found” picts welcome.
• Digital submissions strongly preferred. JPEGs only.
• Printed submissions will not be displayed on the Internet. 
• Represent the depth/breath/impact of the storms. Humor welcome.
• A smaller number of videos will be considered.
• The preferred final printed size is 8.5” x 11”.
• Photographers agree to allow all photos to be displayed on social media.
• The deadline for submissions is July 31 st.

• One submission per person.
• Include your name, phone number, social media handles and if appropriate where the picture was taken.

If your photos are chosen:

• You will be notified by August 14th.
• Photographers agree to drop off  3 high quality unframed printed copies of the accepted photo to 1197 Adams St., Dorchester MA 02124 before August 21th, 7 pm.
• There is no entry or hanging fee. The gallery commission will be 50% of each sale.There will be an additional fee for credit card sales.
